Keeper

pick the keeper: choose one item from this picture that you think you would want to wear for at least 3 years - meaning, it would not become dated, out-of-fashion or lose it's appeal (to you).

Oh, this is a good one - exactly what I'm trying to hone right now, my powers of resistance.

Because, I love this whole outfit. This is totally my kind of getup and if I had the bucks I'd take it all minus the accessories. (Got my own :)).

The safest bet for three years, actually, would be the button up shirts. Beautiful quality, colors...and timeless.

I almost went with the coat, because I love coats and tend to buy too many. But if I bought this coat now, I'd want another next season. I'd keep this one though, forever, but would the boxy cut be fresh or could I find new ways to wear it?

I LOVE the pants - like the ones I coveted at Chloe 2 seasons ago. But I've learned with pants that there is one and only one cut that I wear season after season - they've gotta be more elongated and fitted.

the white/off white blouse

I'd wear the belt forever, even if it does look very "now"

The black belt (it looks like there is one attached to the pants as well, which is in and of itself a very interesting thing, doubling up 2 very different belts, one for effect and one for practicality). It's very past, present and future.

I think I'm going to say whatever's underneath the white blouse; it looks like a charcoal grey blouse. I could definitely wear that for at least 3 years.
