Visitation rights

some items i bookmark, revisiting occasionally without intention to purchase. some store windows i make a point to slowly stroll past, enjoying the view without the commitment.

do you keep any fashion pets?

Definitely! I love the giant bunny, btw.
There's a store here in Providence that I regularly visit, without intent to purchase, just because the clothes are so beautiful. I'm trying to be frugal....but it's not in my nature.

Excuse me but that picture is driving me nuts. I am having trouble with the urge to squish that big fat luscious bunny.
Yes, I have objects that I know aren't going home with me, but I just get happy feelings from looking, so I look. Besides windowshopping I mean. Or in addition to it. We're talking about more regular items of worship? Yes.

OhmyGod that bunny's feet are huge!

My fashion pets are the "Shopping List" feature on Amazon.com. I have around 40 pairs of shoes on it - most of which are far far out of my price range. But I like to look at them. In their cage.

Typing "Christian Louboutin" into the Ebay search box makes me inexplicably happy.

oh, yes, of course...

back when i first graduated from college and started working, i would visit stores all the time just to look at stuff, and i'd tell myself that looking and touching is like 90% of the pleasure i'd get from owning something anyway. (that sounds kind of dirty, doesn't it?) (if only had that sort of restraint now... damn it.)

there are a couple of boutiques near where i live that i've never bought anything from, but i still check in on them periodically. it's as though i'm pretending that they're my closet or something.

um,
we purchase, raise, nurture, and love on our pets.

this from the crazy dog boy, who over-photographs his pets.

just sayin. . .

okay, so seeing pretty, and knowing you're only seeing pretty is still satisfying on some level (inexplicably, as candid cool points out), with certain things. me too!

yeah a. i think i wouldn't mind if that satisfaction could be sustained, or sustaining...

ring ring, ring ring, landis, it's for you, it's a pair of cashmere pants. they miss you.

Sometimes I fill up "shopping carts" on certain sites and leave them there to visit the stuff even though I don't have the need or inclination to actually purchase the items. The cart is just an efficient way to group the things I'm considering or just admiring. I do really like to look at pretty things.
