Making the grade

it's midweek, how'd you do so far?
right now, from head-to-toe, what would you give yourself? A? B?
"E" for effort at least?

i've been extremely sick, so i'm exempt.

I would give myself a C/B, it could be better but I have had compliments today

I should get extra credit for dressing and going outside at all (ice storm).

However, C+, because no matter what I'm wearing, my snow boots are fugly.

i got a B+
because dark circles go with NOTHING, people. believe me, i've tried.

even the sharpest look still gets undercut with "are you taking time off for the holidays?"

jesus.

mary and joseph, amen.

Today, I woke up at the crack of dawn, had an exam to write, then rush home, cook pancakes, mix mimosas and host brunch....It's not even 5 pm, I feel like I need and deserve a nap. Jeans and t-shirt for me. Nice t-shirt, well fitting flattering jeans, so B...

pop quiz, hotshot!

today is my lucky day, like when a pop quiz falls on the day after i just HAPPENED to have read the material. (unfortunately, i was almost never that lucky in school.)

i'd give today an A- for creativity (purple tights!). if you had caught me yesterday, i would have given myself a B+ for style (the outfit got the job done and therefore suited my style that day), but D for creativity.

Monday, Tuesday, and today, C. Last night A! I wore this great silk wrap skirt I bought in Malaysia and never get to wear, and my new big, fun, dangly earrings - in a gunmetal faux gem kind of situation.
Holiday parties bring out the A in me.
But, honestly, my work ensembles are just lazy. No one ever sees me here.

I'm going to give myself an E for Effort because even though I am still in my jammies, they do have a lovely circus print on them.

i just partially changed after getting home from work, but for what i wore i'd give myself a B+ (and maybe an A in comparison my co-workers... gah!) i was wearing a red jumper with black turtleneck/leggings/boots, pretty easy, but combined with a marled grey indian wool dupatta-as-scarf, grey knit gloves and black wool coat... i thought it was a fairly sharp combo. :-)

Well, now it's Thursday and things are improving for me, mostly because this thread guilted me into making more of an effort.

Decided to wear the best-quality things I own all week. Right now I'd give myself a B -- good skirt and boots, cook big-link tortoiseshell necklace, but just threw on a cerise long-sleeved tshirt as a default with black/white houndstooth skirt, not very inspired color choice.

Well it's weekend for me, only just finding time to sit down and catch up on some blogs. Midweek, I would have probably got at least a B - I'm regarded as well-dressed at work.

But today, doing chores at home, I get a big fat F. Too-short, too tight track pants (very ashamed to admit that), tired old T, hair scraped back off my face, no makeup. Blah. But it's almost as if I can't really get into the housework unless I look terrible. Does anyone have a nice "chores" outfit?
