bad news for "them" - i can't remember the last print ad that i really enjoyed. i will flip through a magazine later today and see if i can find one that would qualify and post it here.

what is your current favorite print ad - one that made you stop and admire, or want?

Not exactly artistically groundbreaking, but this Chloé ad made me think, I NEED that dress:

the kate moss missoni ads from 2004ish, natalia for calvin klein maybe 04/05ish, and giselle in the dolce & gabanna from several yrs ago...

I always enjoy Prada ads, and this season's ones of multiple Sasha Pivovarova are quite intriguing.

But generally, the designers I quite like, like Marni and Dries Van Noten, they don't advertise anyway, so I tend to flip past ads without looking too closely.

The recent Swarovski ads with the sparkling eyelashes have been a major source of fascination for me. I keep turning back to them.

so far i've got nothing (nothing more current than sept. '07). still looking.

Wow, nothing!?

That's bad news—for advertisers and the multi-million-dollar budgets they have that are devoted to grabbing your attention!

What's the Sept. 07 ad??

carlene - it's embarrassing because it's not a particularly anything ad, but it's linda e. in prada for NM. i was just surprised and pleased to see her i think.

enc - i'm doing my best, honest.

I know you are; it's difficult to sift through so much media clutter, isn't it? I paged through an entire magazine Saturday, trying to find an ad I really liked that I could mention to you, and . . . nothing.
