The line

sometimes i leave the house in something perfectly innocuous (to me), but which garners comments (positive, negative, and unclear) from others. normal is highly subjective, but ties on women, petticoats as skirts, men in makeup, these things are pretty mundane to me.

are you aware of your definition of "normal"?
have you ever breached someone else's comfort zone?
do you make an effort not to?

I probably have breached someone else's comfort zone, but I don't really care.
Sloppy people in their jammies grocery shopping breach my comfort zone.

My definition of normal is very run-of-the-mill. I've breached others' comfort zones, mostly in college. I didn't make an effort not to, unless I was attending a wedding, funeral, or job interview. I like messing with people, but only when they have nothing to lose by it.

I did have fun at boarding school with my subversive dressing.

It used to happen to me all the time and it would bother me as people would feel compelled to point out what I was wearing was unusual. A woman once rushed out of a shop to offer to buy the outfit I was wearing and I did like that though. Now my flair is all gone darnnit.
