Hyperbole

last night a friend described this hair style on this fantastic woman as "so pretty it was heartbreaking" and i agreed quite emphatically and wished i had said it first, but i didn't want her to think i was too crazy. after she said it, i was grateful she was as crazy (almost) as i.

what fashion/style image or item has moved you to extremes?

When I was 22, I saw my first pair of John Fluevog Lily Darlings. I'd never paid more than $40 for shoes in my life up till then. I happily laid down $150.

I have always felt moved, compelled, enthralled, transfixed by photos of Linda Evangelista.

I'd never normally give that haircut a second look, but LE really made it feasible. She made everything feasible. And heartbreaking. I felt like I'd never see that kind of true, unadulterated beauty again after she stopped working.

Of course, she has returned, albeit on a smaller scale, but I'm still really enjoying it.

I LOVED that look on Linda!
There are too many other heart-breakingly beautiful things to mention.

That is a great haircut - but it only works on a few. It is the charm of finding the perfect "thing". If you look at pictures of Linda E with long hair - eh...

She has a unique beaurty, like Sofia Loren - I think that is key. Not run of the mill, so in essence, always fresh.

Totally agree about the fluevogs mentioned in another comment. Fashion lightbulbs went off in my head big time.

i'd have to say the cover of the bazaar that launched the liz tilberis years.

it combined liz, fabien, and linda in one pristine moment.
