but what of the pride of clothing? the beautiful things that are out there, hanging on hangers, or lying on shelves, waiting for a day out. hoping for a fun time, nice weather, compatible friends.
if clothing had feelings, what would it not want to do?

Be ignored.
I love the idea of clothing having feelings. I think my pieces want to make a difference, rock peoples' minds, enjoy a nice dinner with friends, and travel to cities. I don't think they want to live in the mediocre. So, I let them take me where they want to go!
Stuffed under a too tight coat or sweater.
Be stained and left uncleaned.
Thrown in a dryer.
Told, "Ugh, I don't love you anymore."
MY clothing? It would not want to live in Chicago, because it's mostly summery clothing. Remember that song, "going where the weather suits my clothes"? I should do that.
if clothing had feelings, i wonder if they would feel embarrassed about being poorly made.
i always feel a little sad on behalf of a sweater that pills excessively.
It would not want to be insulted by the unkind comments of those who can't appreciate it.
It wouldn't want to go out in the rain. Can't someone out there make a fabulous rain suit that wants to go out in the rain?
Well, different clothing would have different feelings I guess, like people. But if I were, let's say, a dress, I would not want to be scrunched at the back of a wardrobe, forgotten annd unworn; and I would not want to be scrutinised by someone, and then found wanting and passed over, in favour of something else. So, I guess, not so very different from people's feelings ...
Used for something other than adornment. I always feel guilty when old shirts become rags or cat beds.
such varied and interesting ideas. wow!
how the hell did I end up in this person who can't pull it off properly!
ended up with someone who doesn't gel.
